Mark Cavendish is to team up with Mo Farah for the Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship in Bahrain this weekend.
The Manx Missile has been announced as one third of the Legends relay team that will tackle the prestigious event on Saturday.
Cavendish will team up with Farah - who is the most successful British track athlete in modern Olympic Games history - and  Australian swimming star Chloe McCardel who is famous for completing no fewer than 29 solo crossings of the English Channel.
Each of the three athletes will race one leg of the Ironman in their favoured disciplines, with Cav’s 90-kilometre (56.1-mile) cycling route including a section on the Bahrain International Circuit Formula One race track.
