The latest instalment of the Manx Horse Council members’ championship took place at Conrhenny Equestrian Centre earlier this week.
The event was sponsored by Milan Veterinary Practice and saw the showjumping discipline take centre stage in what was the the most popular MHC members event to date.
Watched on by a near-packed gallery, eight teams battled it out over three stages: 128s, 138s and novices; 148s and intermediates; and open horses.
There was some fantastic jumping on show, with some competitors having a go for the first time.
Results:
1, Conrhenny Team finishing on 0 faults - Jemima Mylchreest (Conrhenny Golden Premier), Lindsay Collister (Benaughlin Rambo), Isla Caine (Burnbank Aphrodite), Lottie Moore (Kilcoltrim Perfect in Pink); 2, Isle of Man Pony Club finishing on 8 faults - Lauren Batty (Classic Felix), Lola Bass (Balingore Surprise), Sammy Collister (Brandy’s Touch), Amelia Hotchkiss (Dowdstown Emerald); 3, Baldrine Stables finishing on 12 faults - Grace Wolstencroft (Cornaughty Nell), Victoria Thompson (Samuyl Bushwaka), Niamh Danaher (Ballakissack Declan), Abby Corlett (Ballalooby Clover).
The individual honours went to Lola-Bea Bryce on Eragon Von Der Held, with reserve going to Lola-Bea’s other ride Blakeney Palamino.
A big congratulations go to the other teams who also competed, as follows: West Coast Riding Club, Pony Club 1, Manx Chasers Equestrian, Isle of Man Bloodhounds, Kennaa Riding Club.
