This weekend marks the final one of the Manx cricket season.
Baker Tilly Isle of Man Cronkbourne take on Hannan Law Crosby in the Tinker Cup final at Tromode on Saturday, days after the pair met in the rearranged Blincoe Cup final on Wednesday evening.
The world is increasingly interlinked, and one hopes that the typhoon, which is hitting Japan today (Tuesday) does not alter the jet-stream over the British Isles to bring wind and rain.
Doesn’t the weather know that there is an important game to be played?!
Cronkbourne will be favourites to win the match as they have dominated most sides this season and Crosby have not been able to land a blow in cricketing terms themselves, especially in the batting department.
Hopefully, they have saved everything for this last game so that we can watch a good spectacle.
Cronkbourne’s Max Stokoe has won the Man of the Match award for the past two seasons and will no doubt be keen to get his name on the trophy for a third time in a row.
Crosby’s island players Danny Kniveton and Chris Langford will hope to build on their experiences in the Netherlands to bolster the Marown’s team’s hopes of silverware.
