Baker Tilly Isle of Man Cronkbourne visit Shimmin Wilson Peel and St John’s at Mullen-e-Cloie this Saturday.
These games have been top-of-the-table deciders in recent years and PSJ will be keen to give Cronkbourne a good game as a win will take them to the top of the table.
The Saints will need to ensure that their best team is available and, if they are, it could be a tasty affair to watch.
Valkyres entertain Hannan Law Crosby at Tromode.
Poor old Valkyres have taken a few batterings from Crosby this season and the Marown side’s players seem to enjoy playing them.
It could be the teas, especially the scones and the samosas, but the Crosby batsmen have made hay in the games so far.
Traditionally, these fixtures have led to close results so one hopes that this will be the case once again.
Ramsey Crookall Finch Hill take on Newfield Castletown at the Ballafletcher ground on Saturday.
Town have players in-form with the bat such as Dan Laughlin and Jack Newbery.
Tom Kennaugh always bowls a few tight overs and can take wickets along with left-arm bowler, Richard Jackson.
The Finches will aim to have their full complement of young stars available.
The Ballafletcher wicket is good for spinners, and one hopes that the leg-spinners, Daniel Bion and Fraser Clarke get chance to bowl.
If you take five wickets in an innings, which both these players have recently, then you deserve a good go the next time up.
The Callin Wild Development XI take on CTH Insurance Ramsey at KWC on Sunday.
Ramsey will be the underdogs for this match, I fear.
They are still struggling to get a regular side out each weekend and if George Burrows and Eddie Beard are in the mood for batting, then you will need good bowling to pin them back.
Ramsey’s James Harrison can bowl with good pace at times, but he needs to focus more.
The northerners’ other young bowlers Will Barnes and Toby Wilson-Poole show some promise but they will need the back up of the older hands, such as Will Ward and Grant Atchison to stop the Development players from claiming the win.
