Castletown A have been in impressive early season form in the PwC Women’s Premier League, but will face their sternest test yet against the mercurial Vikings A.
Vikings are the favourites heading into Saturday afternoon’s late pushback at the NSC.
Elsewhere, Bacchas A take on Valkyrs A and with the latter running Vikings close last weekend it is expected that the Peel side will be the favourites here.
The PwC Men’s Premier League sees an inter-club derby between Vikings’ A and B teams. Although the A team are the favourites, Vikings B will want to show they are not to be underestimated.
Bacchas A take on Castletown A and despite some impressive performances from the southerners they will do well to claim any points this weekend.
The division’s game of the day sees Ramsey A take on Valkyrs A in what will be a close affair,
Saracens A will look to continue their climb up the PwC Women’s Division One table against Bacchas B who registered their first victory of the season against the current leaders last weekend.
Nevertheless with youth on their side Bacchas could find themselves out-paced in the midfield.
Vikings B take on Harlequins A who, despite losing two of their best players during the winter break, have shown impressive resolve so far this season.
Saracens A are the team to beat this season in PwC Men’s Division One and it is hard to see anyone beating them on current form but Valkyrs B will try and put a stop to the Saracens juggernaut this weekend.
In the final game in Division One, Vikings C will look to build on their incredibly impressive victory over Bacchas B last weekend when they take on Ramsey B in what could prove to a deciding factor in the battle for survival at the end of the season.
PwC Women’s Division Two sees the current top two go toe to toe.
Castletown will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the league to three points when the face a Valkyrs C side looking to take top spot.
With Valkyrs C looking good going forward and Castletown looking strong defensively this match could go either way.
Ramsey B take on Saracens B with the latter starting as clear favourites.
Ramsey, however, have some good attacking talent and if they find their finishing touch they could challenge for the victory here.
In the PwC Men’s Division Two, Harlequins B take on Castletown B with a view to catching the current league leaders.
With the experience that Town B have it looks a hard task for the Quins’ second string. Both teams have goals in them and if the game opens up Harlequins could well sneak a victory.
Valkyrs C take on the most experienced side in Manx hockey in the form of Bacchas C this weekend, but with Valkyrs winning two out of two so far they will be expected to win here.
