Charlotte Atkinson helped Great Britain win gold at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow on Monday.

The Manx swimmer formed part of the GB team alongside Adam Peaty, Nicholas Pyle and Freya Anderson which eased through their heat of the 4x100m mixed relay on Monday morning to book their place in the evening’s final.

Georgia Davies and James Guy were then drafted into the team at the expense of Atkinson and Pyle for the finale and the quartet duly smashed the European record on their way to winning gold for Britain.
