No fewer than five Isle of Man riders have been named on British Cycling’s long-list for the UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire on September 22-29.

Lizzie Holden, Amelia Sharpe, Max Walker, Tosh Teare and Matthew Bostock have all been included on the list for the prestigious event.

Drops Cycling star Lizzie is being considered for the elite women’s road race and time trial plus the mixed team relay time trial (which will feature three men and three women).

Amelia is in contention for the junior women’s road race and time trial, while Bocky could feature in the under-23 men’s race. Tosh and Max both long-listed for the junior men’s road race, while the latter’s listed for the time trial.
