The line-ups for the finals of this year’s men’s and women’s Grant Thornton Isle of Man Golf Championships have been decided.

Both of the championship finals will take place at Castletown Golf Links tomorrow (Sunday).

It will be a family affair in the women’s contest as cousins Kayleigh and Lea Dawson both emerged victorious in their respective semi-finals on Friday evening.

Kayleigh saw off the challenge of Douglas’s Emma Noon by a 6 and 5 scoreline, while her Peel club-mate Lea defeated Castletown’s Heather Skinner 5 and 4.

So while it will be an all-Dawson, all-Peel affair in the women’s event, in the men’s competition it will be an all-Castletown contest after PJ Vermeulen and Jon Corke triumphed in their semi-finals against Gerald Bradley and Andrew Challenor.

Vermeulen got the better of club-mate Bradley by a score of 2 and 1, while Corke defeated Challenor 3 and 2.

The two-round women’s final will take place at 10am and 2pm on Sunday, with the men’s final being held at 10.20am and 2.20pm.
