There’s a big clash at the top of JCK Division Two this weekend when leaders Union Mills head north to take on fourth-placed Ayre United on Saturday afternoon.

Only three points separate the top six at this stage of the campaign so there’s already a lot at stake and this one should prove to be a close and intriguing affair.

With 81 goals between them already this season, expect plenty of action and entertainment.

Another enticing clash is on the cards at Victoria Road in Douglas where Colby are the visitors to Braddan. Only one point separates the two sides - in third-placed Braddan’s favour - although the Swans have played one game more.

Braddan boast a perfect home record thus far, but Colby have the joint second meanest defence in the league. Which one will give?

Arron Delaney will begin life in the first team hotseat at Douglas and District with a tough game at home to promotion hopefuls Foxdale. The visitors will be expected to win but a new manager may just galvanise D&D.

The day’s other two games sees Michael United entertain bottom-of-the-table Gymns while Onchan head south to take on Malew at Clagh Vane.

This weekend’s second division action kicks off early when Governor’s Athletic are the latest guests to the Friday Night Project at St John’s. The hosts will be favourites but, under new manager Tony Sewell, Gov’s appear to have rediscovered their goal-scoring touch so will hope to make like difficult for the Saints.
