Manx footballer Ella Dixon is enjoying her start to life at Everton FC as her budding career continues to go from strength to strength
The daughter of Isle of Man coach Lee Dixon, Ella has played a pivotal role in Everton Under-16s’ unbeaten run this season, helping the club maintain its spot at the top of the league.
Her most recent achievement was winning woman of the match in their excellent 6-1 win over Stoke City and helping Everton secure an impressive 2-1 win over Liverpool last week before a 2-2 draw with West Brom.
Ella has now received further backing from Keystone Law (IoM) to help with the extensive costs of travelling off-island to and from training and matches.
The former Manchester United player has been supported by Keystone since 2016 and has so far received £4,000 in total. Keystone’s Gillian Christian commented: ’Ella continues to be a natural choice for sponsorship as she is incredibly talented, hardworking and a fantastic advocate for homegrown talent.
’Keystone IoM is delighted to extend its support to help cultivate her footballing career while working towards fostering a stronger sports ecosystem, for young people, in the island.’
Ella isn’t the only player to receive sponsorship from the Douglas-based firm which set up a community scheme in early 2016 to provide youngster with greater sports opportunities as well as progression routes.
To date, other initiatives have included sponsorship of the Braddan school girls football team, Corinthians AFC, Manx Letterbox Trail funding, support for young rugby international Bevan Rodd and sponsorship of motocross prodigy TJ Teare.
Anyone who would like to offer financial or logistical support to Ella as she pursues her dream, please contact Lee Dixon on 482423.
