With league leaders RYCOB enjoying a day off, a trio of teams will be hoping to take over at the top of JCK Division Two this weekend.

Second-placed Foxdale will be confident of picking up three points when they travel to Governor’s Athletic, but the latter stunned previous leaders Castletown last Saturday so should definitely not be taken lightly.

An intriguing encounter could be on the cards at Clagh Vane where Malew and Pulrose United go head-to-head in a battle between two teams expected to challenge at the top this season.

Malew lost to Foxdale last time out so will be desperate to return to winning ways, but third-placed Pully will certainly be no pushovers and this match could easily go either way.

Having suffered that shock defeat to Governor’s, Castletown will be hoping to get back on track but face a tricky trip to Marown.

The latter lie three points behind them in the table with a game in hand so this could be close and, with the two sides having plundered 31 goals between them already this season, expect a high-scoring affair.

Should Marown drop points, Onchan will be favourites to leapfrog them when they travel to bottom-of-the-table Gymns.

Douglas and District will fancy their chances of recording their second win of the campaign at home to Michael United, while Union Mills and Ayre United do battle at Garey Mooar.
