Another intriguing afternoon of action is in store for JCK Division Two this weekend with a host of interesting games set to take place.

Arguably the match of the day takes place at Billy Goat Park where Foxdale host Malew in a match which could prove pivotal in the race for the top four.

Foxdale are one of only two teams with 100 per cent winning records remaining in the second division and they’ll be keen to maintain that run this weekend.

The visitors, though, will still be smarting after their dramatic defeat to Castletown in the southern derby last time out, a match which saw three red cards in a feist encounter. Both teams are capable of scoring goals so this should be an entertaining encounter.

The only other team with a perfect record is the aforementioned Town who will be favourites to make it four wins in a row when they host Governor’s Athletic.

It should be a much closer affair at Springfield Road where Pulrose United host Union Mills. The latter, despite losing their opening two games, have been somewhat unlucky so far and could push Pully all the way.

Douglas and District claimed arguably the best result of the day last Saturday when beating Ayre United and face another tough task this weekend with a trip to Onchan.

Ayre will be looking to bounce back from that defeat to D&D with a home match against bottom-of-the-table Gymns, while Michael United will be eager to derail RYCOB’s early-season form at Balleira Road.
