It could be all change again at the top of JCK Division Two after this weekend’s games.

Arguably the game of the day takes place in the south of the island where promotion hopefuls Castletown and Foxdale go head-to-head at The Stadium.

Both sides are previous leaders in the league but have been knocked off the top spot after dropping points in recent weeks and therefore they will both be keen to return to winning ways this weekend. Foxdale’s 100 per cent winning start to the season was ended by Marown last time out as they were held to a 1-1 draw but they still lie second, two points behind new leaders Pulrose Utd and with a game in hand.

Town’s impressive start to the campaign faltered when they suffered a shock defeat to Governor’s Athletic last month and have not played since, so they are currently lying fifth having played fewer games than all the sides above them.

This game should be a tight affair and one which could go either way - a win for either side could prove crucial in the end-of- season push for honours.

The aforementioned leaders Pulrose face a tough trip to Marown this Saturday where Dave Brew’s hosts will be hoping to disrupt another potential title charge. Pully were in ruthless form against Governor’s last weekend but this game will be much closer and Marown may fancy their chances of causing an upset.

Another intriguing affair could be on the cards at Clagh Vane where Malew and Onchan battle it out for supremacy.

The southerners announced the surprise signing of last year’s Silver Boot winner Andy Glover at the weekend, despite rumours of him calling time on his playing career after suffering a serious injury earlier this year.

Should he play much part this season, he will provide a major boost to Cal Alexander’s Malew side as they push for honours.

Elsewhere in the division, title favourites RYCOB will be expected to make light work of bottom-of-the-table Gymns in Tromode.

Ayre United will also be expected to beat Governor’s Athletic at Bemahague, while Union Mills will start as favourites at home to Michael United despite the latter recording their first win of the season last time out.
