Colby face a stern test of their title credentials in JCK Division Two this weekend when they travel to fellow challengers Union Mills.

The Moonlighters currently lead the way in the second tier on goal difference with 28 points ahead of Ayre United, with this weekend’s opponents only one point back with two games in hand. With four wins and a draw in their last five outings - compared to Mills’ four wins and a defeat - Colby are arguably slight favourites going into the clash, but the Millers won the reverse 3-1 so it could go either way.

Another intriguing clash sees St John’s make the journey north to take on RYCOB at Scoill ree Gorree.

The Saints lie sixth some six points ahead of Youthie and with several games in hand so they will be confident of triumphing in Ramsey, but home advantage may play its part so this contest could be close.

Just down the coast at Balleira Road, Michael United host Braddan. With second place Ayre not in action, the Swans could go level with the Tangerines and, while their form is better than Michael, the Aces impressed when they pushed Premier League side Douglas Athletic all the way to penalties in the FA Cup recently so they can certainly cause problems.

Elsewhere, Foxdale will be expected to reignite their top-four push when they host bottom side Governor’s Athletic at Billy Goat Park, while Onchan are favourites to get the better of Gymns in Tromode and Malew head to Noble’s Park to face Douglas and District in what could well be a tight battle.
