Isle of Man Billiards and Snooker Association’s opening ranking series round takes place this Sunday at the Cue Zone in Ballasalla.

The entry fee of £5 is payable on the day. All players must be at the venue and entered by 10am on the day, so play can begin no later than 10.30am.

The format will see all players compete in a round robin format, with groups randomly drawn and the number of groups and players will be dependent on entries. Also dependent on entries will be the number of qualifiers from each group.

The knockout draw will see all qualifiers seeded based on group performance and placed into their relevant parts of the draw, using the same format as all European and World amateur events.

Dates for the other ranking events are as follows: event two - November 14; event three - November 28; event four - January 9; event five - February 27; and event six - March 13.
