St Mary’s and Peel will meet in the final of the Friends Provident International FA Cup on Easter Saturday.

Premier League leaders St Mary’s came from behind to beat a stubborn Colby.

Veteran striker Ste McIntosh put the Division Two hosts ahead early on only for the top-flight side to hit back when Sammy Gelling fired in a quick-fire equaliser.

Saints player-manager Alex Harrison nodded his side ahead a corner before Gelling made it 3-1.

An own goal made it 4-1 in the second half, Dave Cadwell adding a second consolation for the Moonlighters late on.

Peel also had to come from behind in their last-four tie with St George’s.

Ciaran McNulty arrowed in a half-volley to give Geordies an 11th-minute lead.

Lee Gale restored parity from the penalty before Rhys Oates struck either side of the half-time break to put the Railway Cup winners firmly in charge of the tie at Douglas Road.

Oates wrapped up his hat-trick with just under half an hour to go to make it 4-1, but five minutes later Sean Quaye headed in a second for the visitors.

Geordies finished strongly, but couldn’t add to their tally meaning the Premier League’s current top two will face-off on Easter Saturday.

The semi-finals of the GH Corlett Woods Cup were also played this afternoon.

Cup favourites Pulrose United edged past Foxdale 1-0 thanks to Ste Priestnal’s first-half goal.

Pully will face Ramsey on Good Friday after the Ballacloan outfit triumphed 3-1 at northern neighbours Ayre United thanks to goals from skipper Nick White and a brace from Dylan Pickles.

Laxey gave their hopes of staying in the Canada Life Premier League a massive shot in the arm with a 4-1 win over DHSOB at Glen Road.

The division’s bottom side are now back within a point of safety after goals from Joe Walters (2), Michael Fernandes and Harry Walters gave them a vital three points.

The Miners have to play St John’s and St Mary’s in their final two league games. The former side now sit alongside Douglas Royal in the standings only a point better off than Laxey, all three having played 20 games.

The Johnners slipped further toward the sharp end of the table as they succumbed to a 3-0 defeat at Marown. On target for the Crosby side were Ashley Higginbotham (2) and Joey Rothwell.

The day’s other top-flight game saw a resounding 8-0 win for Corinthians at Castletown, a result that keeps the Whites on course for a top-four finish.

In JCK Division Two, Malew moved to within a point of the promotion places with a good 5-2 win at Onchan.

Union Mills were the day’s big winners in the second tier’s other game, beating Michael United 8-1.
