DHSOB took a step closer to a first Ascot Hotel Junior Cup in 28 years by defeating Onchan 5-1 at the Bowl on Wednesday evening.

Despite putting in an under-par first-half performance, the Blackberry Lane outfit were 1-0 ahead at the break thanks to Nigel Moody’s strike.

The former Corinthians player doubled the Blackberry Lane outfit’s lead on the hour-mark, before Michael Booth and Danny Corrin added further Old Boys goals.

In the closing stages, Callum Stewart netted DHSOB’s fifth before Onchan youngster Callum Dawson pulled one back for the Os on the stroke of full-time.
