There’s a huge clash at the top of JCK Division Two this weekend when new league leaders Pulrose United travel to rivals Foxdale.

Pully’s high-scoring victory over Gymns last Saturday, coupled with previous pacesetters RYCOB’s derby defeat at Ramsey, means the Reds now sit ahead of Youthie on goal difference.

Foxdale remain fourth in the table three points behind the joint leaders and one behind third-placed Ramsey, but the Billy Goat Park outfit have at least one game in hand over the three sides above them. This Saturday’s clash could go a long way in deciding who wins the title and is promoted to the Premier League at the end of the season.

There’s also another big battle set to take place in the north of the island where RYCOB will be hoping to bounce back against fifth-placed Malew.

Despite last week’s defeat, Youthie remain well placed to challenge for honours and will start this game as slight favourites. However, Malew also have games in hand on the top four so their current position doesn’t tell the full story and this could be a close contest which may go either way.

Should results go their way, Ramsey could well end the weekend top of the pile if they get the better of Douglas and District at Noble’s Park, while sixth-placed Onchan travel to Gymns hoping to kickstart their season.

Elsewhere, resurgent Colby should prove too strong for Michael United, while Union Mills will start as favourites against Ayre United.
