The race for promotion in JCK Division Two steps up another notch this weekend with a potentially pivotal clash.

The game in question sees current league leaders Castletown travel to Billy Goat Park where the Mets face hopefuls Foxdale.

Town currently hold a three-point lead over Pulrose at the top but having played two games more, while Foxdale lie sixth but with games in hand on all aother sides in the league.

A win for the southerners could prove crucial at the end of the season while three points for Foxdale might be the catalyst they need in their bid for promotion.

Another close fixture may unfold at Springfield Road where second-placed Pully host a Marown side still harbouring hopes of glory this season.

The latter put up a brave fight against Premier League heavyweights St Mary’s in the FA Cup last time out so this will not be straightforward for Pulrose.

Should the latter slip up, then Onchan could leapfrog them in the standings if they get the better of Malew at a game that has been switched to Colby’s secondary pitch. The Os went down fighting against Grand Slam winners St George’s last Saturday and will fancy their chances of winning this one.

Fourth-placed RYCOB will start as favourites when they host Gymns at Scoill ree Gorree, as will Ayre United at home to bottom-of-the-table Governor’s Athletic.

The final game sees Union Mills head northwest to take on lowly Michael United in a match they should win at Balleira Road.
