RYCOB face a stern test of their promotion and title credentials this weekend when they travel to in-form Marown in JCK Division Two on Saturday afternoon.
The northerners are three points clear at the top of the table ahead of Foxdale who in turn are a further three clear of fourth-placed Marown. The latter side go into this weekend’s game on the back of a narrow 2-1 win at Michael United and they will need to up their game if they are to get anything out of the match against the league leaders. With seven wins and a draw from their opening nine games, Youthie go into this game as favourites to extend their good start to the season.
Second-placed Foxdale also face a tough battle on Saturday as they welcome Onchan to Billy Goat Park, with the Os desperate to get back to winning ways having narrowly lost 1-0 to Castletown last time out.
Goals from Jason Chatwood and Scott Kermeen ensured a 2-0 win for Foxdale over Ayre United last weekend and they will fancy their chances of claiming another win this weekend.
Having reignited their season with the aforementioned victory against Onchan, Castletown could move back into the top four should they get the better of Michael United at The Stadium, while nearby in Ballasalla rivals Malew will be favourites to get the better of bottom-of-the-table Gymns.
Previous league leaders Pulrose United return to action with a potentially tricky tie at home to Ayre United, while a close match could be in store at Bemahague where Governor’s Athletic host Douglas and District.
