Chris Bass Sr has announced his Ellan Vannin squad for the forthcoming 2017 CONIFA Euros which are being held in North Cyprus in June.
The tournament takes place in the Turkish Republic from June 4-11 and features the likes of Sapmi, County of Nice, Karpatalya, Székely Land, hosts Northern Cyprus, Padania and Abkhazia.
The 20-man Ellan Vannin squad includes no fewer than 10 players from St George’s, most notably Johnny Myers for his first callup to MIFA (Manx International Football Alliance), but there is no place for Calum Morrissey as he is unable to travel due to family commitments.
Other notable inclusions in the squad are Corinthians centre-back Chris Cannell, Rushen United striker Mike Williams, Dubai-based Conor Doyle, Brian Crellin and Dan Simpson.
