The fixtures computer has thrown up several fascinating contests in JCK Division Two this weekend.
In theory, this could be a potentially pivotal Saturday in the season as teams attempt to lay down a marker for their ambitions in the 2019-20 campaign.
The game of the day is arguably at Billy Goat Park where two of the potential promotion contenders go head-to-head in the shape of Foxdale and Union Mills.
The latter lie second two points ahead of this weekend’s opponents but Foxdale did the double over the Garey Mooar side last season so this one is shaping up to be a cracker with very little to separate the two sides.
Another intriguing contest looks to be on the cards at Scoill ree Gorree where two more title and promotion hopefuls go face-to-face when RYCOB host Colby.
Youthie are three points clear of the southerners in the table but have played a game more. The Moonlighters will be buoyed by their last-gasp win over Foxdale last time out, but home advantage may prove crucial for the northerners.
Yet another interesting match-up sees Ayre United host leaders St John’s in a first-versus-third battle. Again, with plenty of quality in both sides, this should be an entertaining match that could well go either way.
Only one point separates Douglas and District and Onchan who lock horns at Noble’s Park and, while the Os will start as favourites, the hosts may spring a surprise.
With one win apiece, both Michael United and Governor’s Athletic will be eyeing up three points this weekend, while Braddan will start as favourites when they play host to Malew.
