New leaders Malew had been be favourites to hold onto top spot in JCK Division Two this weekend as they were due to welcome Union Mills to Clagh Vane.
The Ballasalla outfit romped to the top of the table last Saturday when they thrashed Douglas and District 6-1, coupled with Pulrose United’s defeat to RYCOB.
Unfortunately though, the game has fallen victim to the weather as the Clagh Vane pitch has been deemed unfit.
Previous leaders Pully will be eager to bounce back immediately following their first loss of the season and, on paper at least, they should do against Douglas and District. The Noble’s Park outfit have two wins from their opening five games and, on their day, can cause the so-called big teams problems so they will be hoping for a battling performance.
An interesting game looks set to unfold at the Nivison Stadium where Onchan play host to Pully’s conquerors Youthie.
After that impressive result, the northerners currently lie in third place, two points ahead of this weekend’s opponents and the same gap behind Malew.
Onchan lost 2-1 to Foxdale last time so they will be desperate to return to winning ways.
Level on points with the Os are Ramsey who will be favourites to get the better of Governor’s Athletic at Ballacloan, while elsewhere Foxdale travel to Balleira Road to face Michael United and Tony Sewell’s Gymns side head south to take on Colby.
