Pulrose United booked their place in the final of the Paul Henry Gold Cup after a thrilling victory over Foxdale on Tuesday evening.
The Springfield Road outfit came from behind to edge past the Miners in extra-time courtesy of Dave Priestnal’s 118th-minute winner.
Ricky Newsham gave Foxdale an early lead which was doubled by Jay Chatwood shortly after the half-hour mark to leave the visitors in a commending 2-0 lead at half-time.
James Maginn halved the deficit shortly after the interval, only for Andrew Berry to restore the two-goal cushion in spectacular fashion from 35 yards.
It wasn’t long before Stephen Glover pulled a goal back for Pully and then Owen Canipa levelled the scores before Marc Priestnal edged the Reds in front for the first time with a superb strike.
Foxdale weren’t finished though and equalised in injury time through Charlie Harrison to force extra-time.
Priestnal moved back back in front in the 96th minute when Marc Priestnal grabbed his second of the evening, only for Kevin Pulman to restore parity yet again.
Just when penalties looked certain, there was a final sting in the tail as Dave Priestnal popped up in the 118th to strike the decisive blow and send Pully into this Saturday’s final.
Their opponents will be Castletown who thumped newly-crowned JCK Division Two champions Marown 6-0 at Ballafletcher.
The pair met in the league less than two weeks ago when Marown clinched a last-gasp draw which proved crucial in secured the league title.
However, the latest match was a completely different story as Town ran riot against a depleted Marown side to emphatically book their place in the final.
Jamie Cadwallader led the way for the Mets with a brace and he was joined on the scoresheet by Connor Garrett, Bob Clark, Mike Kenny and Ash Sansbury.
