Isle of Man Football Association’s senior women’s team manager Michael Quilliam has stepped down from his role.
Quilliam has decided to call it a day after guiding the side to a silver medal in this summer’s NatWest Island Games in Gotland.
Along with his co-manager/coach Billy Crowe and latterly Michael Corlett, Quilly took charge of the team in 2014.
Under his guidance the side just missed out on the bronze in the 2015 Jersey Island Games, before winning the Spring Cup and Triangular tournament the following year.
Quilly, who spent most of his footballing career with Corinthians, albeit having very brief spells with Braddan and Michael United, has managed Corinthians men’s first team, bringing them promotion and Gold Cup success.
He has also been involved in the development of junior football in the island and along with Crowe guided the Isle of Man FA’s under-12s to Celt Cup success.
Quilly has also been instrumental in the development of junior boys’ and girls’ football at Corinthians, a number of these players going onto sign senior forms for the club, while some of them have also played for the senior island side.
