The Isle of Man schools’ uner-19 football squad jetted out for its annual trip to California earlier this week.
The Manx squad will play in two tournaments over the course of the two-week trip. This year the lads head to Ontario just outside Los Angeles to play in the Independence Cup this weekend in what could be very hot conditions.
They will then play near to their base of Laguna Beach in the Orange County Surf Invitational at the superb facilities of the Great Park.
The boys will once again go into the tournaments confident of bringing home two trophies, as well as a midweek victory over local rivals Pateadores Laguna Niguel.
With increasing interest from college and university coaches, the squad will be looking to impress and bring home some silverware like many squads before them.
A full report of how they get on will be shared on their return in two weeks.
