The team was slightly reduced in numbers as a result of injury but still managed to clinch five golds, eight silvers and two bronze which is an incredible achievement yet again for the Manx outfit.
The divisions were split by age and weight, while there was also an ’absolute’ division where weights are mixed.
The full list of medal winners is as follows:
Mark Franklin - gold (Nogi) in the Masters 1 male lightweight category.
Alanna Pritchard - gold (Gi), silver (Nogi) in the adult female heavyweight categories.
Naomi Griffiths - gold (Gi), gold (Absolute - Gi), silver (Nogi) in the adult female lightweight categories and her very first tournament.
Hayley Curtis - gold (Nogi), silver (Gi) in the Masters 1 female lightweight category.
Louise Gawne - silver (Gi), silver (Nogi) in the adult female super heavyweight category.
Catherine Moor - silver (Nogi), bronze (Gi) in the Masters 1 female light featherweight categories.
Shirley Tung - silver (Gi), bronze (Nogi) in the Masters 1 female light featherweight
categories and silver (Nogi) in the Masters 1 female lightweight category.
Newcomer Ashley Parry also competed and won for the team in a large division but narrowly missed out on a podium spot.
The team produced sufficient points to finish second overall against squads from throughout the UK.
Accomplished fighters Myles Joughin and Olly Dunne were both scheduled to compete at this tournament but unfortunately were ruled out through injury.
Gracie Barra Isle of Man head coach Conrad Roberts was delighted with his team’s efforts, saying: ’I am very proud of what the adult competition team achieved this weekend and the hard work and hours of training have paid off, especially with the team coming in second overall despite this being a smaller team than usual.
’This is our sixth UK competition in just over six months and we’ve brought back over 70 hard-earned medals to the island which is a fantastic achievement.
’We also have the kids competition team competing in Bristol this month where I’m sure they will exceed what they’ve achieved previously.
’Going forward, we are working with professional coaches Dan Bonett and Gianni Fabrizio to aid with strength, conditioning and nutrition preparation for our competition teams in the lead-up to the British and European Championships.’

This Monday (March 7), Gracie Barrie will be holding seminars with seven-time world champion Kendall Reusing from California who is currently doing a busy tour of the UK and Ireland.
