This Sunday sees a collection of big matches for local teams in the England Hockey cup competitions.
At home, Bacchas Men’s A push back against Keswick with a 1.15pm pushback which should draw a decent crowd.
Keswick currently sit fifth in North Hockey Men’s Northwest Division One, a league lower than previous round opponents Alderley Edge.
Bacchas have been working on a number of things since that match and hope to improve on these and put them into practice come Sunday, therefore they should be confident after winning the last round in comfortable style.
Bacchas A squad: Dave Whiting (GK), Jamie Brown (captain), George Harrison, Jonny Callow, Andrew Whiting, Gareth Craig, Chris Bass, Tony Bentley-Roberts, Andrew Vernon-Browne, Paul Griffiths, Craig Leece, John Gaydon, Karl Moore, Martin Davies, Josh Riordan.
Vikings A women travel across to play a match against Lymm who are currently towards the bottom of the North Hockey League.
After having secured a 4-0 win in the second round against a team the league below Lymm, Vikings know it will be a close match.
Lymm are currently 10th in North Division One with eight wins and two losses.
Vikings don’t have Dani Coombes or Laura Atkinson available but do bring in Mia Greenwood - who is currently at Birmingham University - and Kirsty McHarrie after returning this year and making her mark during the mixed season.
The game will push back at 1.30pm at Lymm High School in Warrington.
Vikings A squad: Sami Verrall (GK), Kim Carney (captain), Zoe Crowe, Sarah Blackman, Georgia Foxton, Jen Turner, Katie Errock, Kirsty Cooper, Kirsty Bowley, Louise Slater, Charlotte Casement, Chelsea Bawden, Mia Greenwood, Kirsty McHarrie.
