Friday’s blue riband PokerStars-sponsored Senior TT Race has been red-flagged.

An incident at the 27th milestone has left debris on the course, therefore the entire course has been red-flagged.

Peter Hickman and Ian Hutchinson had been dicing for the lead throughout the opening two laps, with both riders swapping the lead.

However, Hutchy was involved in the incident and was treated on the course before being transferred to hospital. He is reported to be conscious and is being treated for leg injuries.His BMW team Tweeted: 'After incident on lap 2 Ian has been taken to hospital and he is conscious. Thank you to all medics and marshals.'

The race is due to be restarted at a time to be confirmed.
