Fell runner Ian Goatman swapped the hills for Tarmac as he took the win in Sunday morning’s Leinster Management Ltd Open 20-mile run at the NSC.

Goatman completed 40 laps of the complex’s perimeter road in two hours, nine minutes 37 seconds, to bring him home just 16 seconds ahead of Manx Harriers’ Richard Highfield.

Tom Williams completed the top three of the Isle of Man Veteran Athletes’ Club-organised event with Helen Taylor first woman in eighth overall.
