Dave Norman claimed the Isle of Man’s first ever men’s individual medal at a NatWest Island Games squash competition on Tuesday morning.

The 46-year-old lost to the number one seed and former World Tour player Cameron Stafford of the Cayman Islands 11-3, 11-6, 11-5 in the final, but only after a terrific run to the gold medal match.

On Monday afternoon, Norman was involved in one of the matches of the tournament as he edged edged an epic semi-final encounter with Gibraltar’s Anthony Brindle 13-11, 7-11, 4-11, 11-2, 11-13.
