A forecast of high winds and rain has forced the cancellation of this Saturday’s James Berry Memorial Ride.
It is hoped that the ride can be rearranged for the new year.
Riders who have already signed on for the ride can collect their entry fees from Bikestyle.
The organisers wish to apologise for cancelling the ride at short notice but wish to stress that safety comes before everything else.
l The Bikestyle handicap road race series presentations take place this Saturday at Noa Bakehouse, Douglas from 7.30pm.
Entry is free for all riders that participated, partners and guests are £5. Places are limited due to the size of the venue so drop Steve Shimmin an email at [email protected] to reserve a place.
Plenty of fun to be had in a very relaxed atmosphere. During the evening the much-coveted Isle of Man King of the Sprints competition will take place, raising a few quid for charity in one way or another.
l Manx Viking Wheelers AGM is this Monday, October 23, in the upstairs room of the Isle of Man Sport Institute building from 7pm.
Andy Brooks is stepping down as chairman after three years but the rest of the committee is prepared to stand again.
Members are invited to come along to express their interests and the AGM will be followed by the 2018 MVW kit launch.
l Conor Davies is riding the London Six Day track meeting next week.
He will be in the Under-23 Talent Cup contest, riding with James Tillet of Wales. The meeting starts on Tuesday and lasts until a week on Sunday.
l The rescheduled Stuart Slack Parishes Ride will take place on Sunday, November 5. Entries are being carried over from the original date, but will also be re-opened at Bikestyle at the same fee of £10, and will be taken up until 5pm on Friday, November 3.
That ride begins from the NSC gates at 8.30am.
