Senior island coach Claire Battye is leading the first Isle of Man Netball academy day on Saturday.
The event will take place at Ballakermeen High School and will involve coaches and players from all of the island’s development age group squads through to seniors.
Battye is working closely with Isle of Man Sport on this event and they are set to become a regular feature of the netball calendar.
The day will look at all aspects of the sport from fitness testing and court play, to match psychology and preparation.
Battye said: ’The aim of these days is to bring island players of all ages together so youth can learn from experience and perhaps the other way round too.
’Coaches will also get the opportunity to work together and share their knowledge. This will enable us to develop all areas of netball in the Isle of Man.’
