Significant route changes have been introduced to the first 15 miles of this year’s Manx Telecom End to End mountain bike race on Sunday,

September 10.

From the start, at the Point of Ayre, riders will head down the western side of the peninsular on a marked route as far as Rue Point.

The course will then head up the concrete path and road to Smeale corner where it will take the usual road section through Jurby and Ballaugh Cronk to Ballacrye.

Only the lower part of Ballamoar farm will be used this year, cutting out the busy Ballaugh village/bridge area, rejoining the Glen Road and heading past Ravensdale into Ballaugh Plantation for the initial climb through the main fire road to the Druidale Road. Last year’s route will be followed from that point onwards.

Entries close at midnight this Sunday.

Numbers are now in excess of 550 for the event. Go to Manx Timing Solutions site to register.
