The 2017 Manx Classic gets underway on Thursday with the return of the Sloc hillclimb.

Manx Motor Racing Club is delighted to continue its sponsorship with leading local investment specialists, Ramsey Crookall.

The event has been run since 1989, with this year’s edition offering three full days of high-speed action.

The Sloc has been fully resurfaced since it was last used. This section of road will be closed from 9am to 5pm on Thursday.

The remaining two days follow the well-liked pattern of previous years. On Friday, the action heads to Glen Helen for the Creg Willy’s hill climb (again 9am to 5pm), while the event concludes on Saturday with one of the best-known hill climbs in British motorsport, Lhergy Frissell, on a section of the TT Course from Ramsey to just above the Gooseneck. Roads for this close from 9am until 6pm at the latest.

More than 70 entries have been received, most from off-island, with cars from vintage through to modern and providing a most varied entry list.
