Knock Froy was packed for the hare and hounds event organised by Daniel McCanney on Saturday afternoon.
There was a good atmosphere in the paddock and 60 adults entered online, plus a few extras on the day.
Yamaha UK-supported British Enduro Championship rider Charlie Chater grabbed the hole-shot in the main event, but he was soon ousted by Jamie McCanney on the 250 Husqvarna, swiftly followed by his brother Daniel.
The McCanneys remained at the head of the one-hour race throughout, maintaining much the same distance apart - dependent on lapped riders.
Jamie briefly became trapped by a back marker on a slippery hill on the second to last lap. Daniel passed him, only to get caught by another slower rider at the next corner, where his younger sibling took a different line and reclaimed the lead to win the race.
The track was changed for the fun extreme race, with some added tricky parts that attracted a lot of spectators. This race was cut to 45 minutes as the majority of riders felt it was more than enough on the back of the earlier race.
Factory Sherco rider Daniel McCanney hole-shotted this time and led for the entire distance, followed by his brother Jamie and Jed Etchells.
Jamie tackled the ’slab’ on the hard route (on lap three) and lost time, enabling Etchells to catch up, but McCanney soon pulled away again.
On lap four Danny lost time in the river section where Beau Brown had crashed, so he took a slow line that enabled Jamie to close the gap with a lap-and-a-half remaining, but not enough to get back on level terms.
Juan Knight was the only other rider to complete six laps.
Oliver Carroll won the youth class over the easier route, he and Ryan Christian the only ones to complete 10 laps.
Jacob Wilson and Cayden Higgins completed eight laps to top the youth support class.
