The men’s basketball squad has been announced for the NatWest Island Games in Gibraltar this summer.

Coach Paul Ellison confirmed: ’Players have been selected from clubs competing in the senior league and it’s a testament to the growth of the sport that we will have six players making their Island Games debut.

’We’ll be training hard over the next few months and look forward to another great Games in Gibraltar.’

Those named are as follows: Callum Randall* (Guard) Cavs, Michael Pardoe* (Guard) Eagles, Paul Kilic (Guard) Jets, Tom Dalton-Brown (Guard) Jets, Sean Anthony* (Guard) Stars, Chris Wolfendale (Guard) Turkeys, Ben Barlow* (Forward) Eagles, Peter Boussougou* (Forward) Eagles, Wayne Mears (Forward) Jets, Jakob Glover* (Forward) Jets, Sean Doyle (Forward) Turkeys, Ross Wilson (Forward) Wolves.

*Indicates Island Games debut.

The women’s team will be announced next week.
