With the exception of a few teams who have rearranged fixtures, cup and plate games in the next few weeks, this Saturday marks the end of the 2017-18 mixed campaign.
Title races will come to an explosive finish and those condemned to relegation will seal their fate.
In the PwC Mixed Premier League Bacchas will successfully defend their title and will do so in style against second-placed Vikings. These teams will play each other again in the first round of the newly-formed cup, so Vikings may look at this game as practice.
Ironically Harlequins’ last league game will be against Bacchas B who were their relegation rivals during the season. Harlequins will definitely be facing relegation now and will play with nothing to lose in this encounter.
Elsewhere, Ramsey host Valkyrs. The two teams faced each other for the first time midweek and a strong Ramsey side capitalised on a weak western team with a 3-0 victory. The blues will be looking for revenge this weekend.
In Division One the title will be crowned depending on Saturday’s results. If Vikings B win their fixture against bottom-of-the-table Castletown Cammags, they will lift the trophy. However, if Cammags overcome the challenge and beat Vikings - and Castletown Celts win their fixture - Celts will be back in the Premier League.
Celts will face Valkyrs B - who last week held them to a 4-4 draw. Expect Celts to come out harder than ever before.
Elsewhere in Division One, Bacchas C take on Saracens Sabres. The last encounter was a nine-goal thriller which saw Saracens pip Bacchas to the win by one goal, so expect another high-scoring and end-to-end game.
In Division Two leaders Vikings C have their last league game against bottom-of-the-table Ramsey Rookies. Vikings will look to score as many past the northerners as possible as the league could potentially go to goal difference.
This is because second place Ramsey Ravens have two games left in the campaign against Bacchas C, and if they win both of these they will go joint on points with Vikings C. Currently Rookies have a goal difference of 10 fewer so have catching up to do.
The other game in Division Two sees a Peel derby, Valkyrs C versus Valkyrs D. Valkyrs D have climbed up to fifth place and are hovering dangerously above the relegation zone by a +3 goal difference.
In Division Three the top three teams are all separated by one point. Current second place Saracens Colts go head-to-head with Bacchas D where a Saracens win would see them leapfrog Harlequins Colts to the top spot.
Third-placed Vikings Colts play Harlequins B and a win here for the blacks would lift them into second, pushing Harlequins Colts into third.
Finally the bottom two teams Saracens Sharks and Castletown Southerners will be playing for bragging rights as, if the reds beat Saracens, they’ll no longer be at the bottom of the table.
