Dedicated classes for Moto3 solo machines are to be included in both the Colas Post-TT Road Races and the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races

for 2019.

The 250cc Moto3 machines were previously included in the 125/400cc races at the July meeting.

It has now been proposed and approved that Moto3 bikes will be included in the 250cc/650cc races, not only at the Southern 100 but also the Post-TT meeting.

Billown clerk of the course, Peter Oates, said: ’The Moto3 racing machines are a relatively new class which has attracted a small number of entries to date.

’The club has decided to include them with the 250/650cc races at both the Post-TT and Southern 100 meetings in the hope that entries will continue to grow.’

Regulations for both the Post TT and Southern 100 International Road Races, along with the Blackford’s Pre-TT Classic Road Races are currently being formulated, prior to ACU approval. These will be available via the club’s official website, www.southern100.com early in the new year.
