Jamie McCanney has been drafted into the Men’s Trophy team for next month’s International Six Days Enduro in Portugal to replace the injured Steve Holcombe.

The former FIM Youth and Junior Enduro World Champion has represented Great Britain at the ISDE on six previous occasions and was part of the historic team that secured overall victory in 2022 alongside fellow Manxman Jed Etchells, Nathan Watson and Holcombe.

With Portugal’s sandy terrain expected to suit him well, McCanney is highly motivated to race and make his mark at what is the 100th edition of the event.

Etchells and Watson are again in the GB Trophy team, along with Brad Freeman.

Jack Keenan of St Jude’s is in the three-man Junior team, while Southern MCC will be represented by Mike Turner, Orry Millward and Gary Flowers in the club team contest.

The event takes place at Grândola from October 12 to 17.
