Three of the island’s star young trials riders attended the Auto-Cycle Union’s British Youth Trials Championship presentation ceremony at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham recently.
Pictured (left to right) Ella Doherty finished runner-up in the Girls’ B Class, Kaytlyn Adshead won the Girls’ C Class and Owen Chestnut finished fifth in the Boys’ C Class.
Their achievements were recognised at Isle of Man Youth Trials Club’s annual presentation evening last weekend when the young trio brought along their medals and trophies for all to see.
They collectively received a very warm reception from those assembled and a hearty round of applause for their superb efforts at national level.
Castletown teenager Ella, who last year also became the first girl to win the overall IoM Youth Trials Championship, has been shortlisted for the Isle of Man Under-21 Sportswoman of the Year title.
The results of that will be announced at the Isle of Man Bank-sponsored 2016 Sports Awards evening at the Villa Marina on Wednesday, March 22.
