The No Rest for the Wicked running series begins with the marathon or half-marathon on Sunday week, August 11.
The choice of full or half will then determine which class competitors tackling the ’No Rest’ series will be filtered into as all of the remaining events are all single class.
Round two is the Peel Hill race on Monday, Aug 12, organised by Western AC with registration in the car park behind the kipper factory.
Day three is the Northern AC 10km road race with registration at Ramsey Rugby Club.
Day four is the Killer Mile on Douglas Head, hosted by Manx Fell Runners - starting on Marine Drive.
Day five is the annual Foxdale Six road race in memory of Anna-Maria Cutillo, organised by Manx Harriers, with sign-on at Foxdale School.
The final race is a trail run starting from the car park behind the kipper factory in Peel, again organised by Western AC.
It will take in the heritage trail (former railway lines) to St John’s then onto the northern line as far as Knocksharry, returning to Peel via the headlands/coastal path. A total of approximately seven miles.
The No Rest for the Wicked series is sponsored by Bell Burton, The Garage Door & Gate Automation Company, and Up & Running (IoM) Ltd.
Entries for the No Rest series form part of the IoM Marathon/Half-Marathon online entry with Manx Timing Solutions, which closes at midnight on Tuesday, August 6 (see www.isleofmanmarathon.com).
All of the evening events begin at 7pm and it will be possible to enter those on the evening (as individual races). The one exception is the Northern 10km. Entries for that event will close at 8pm on Monday, Aug 12, go online to: my.raceresult.com/128946/
No entries on the night for the 10k, bibs and timing chips can be collected between 6 and 6.45pm at Ramsey RUFC close to Mooragh Park. There will be a presentation and buffet there afterwards.
