Like so many other sports at the moment, Isle of Man Squash Rackets Association’s leagues are on hold because of the latest lockdown.
This break in play has given squash correspondent Steve Baker the chance to take a look at the top-30 ranked players in the island so far this season:
’I have downloaded the top-30 placed players in the IoMSRA rankings as recorded on March 1.
’These won’t change for a while due to the circuit breaker lockdown when no squash will be played.
This is for those of you who like to track your progress on ’Squash Levels’.
Top-ranked player Dave Norman has broken the 9,000 points barrier and Ashley Sandyford-Sykes - who is playing very well at the moment - has moved into the number two spot in the rankings.
Chris Cave and Angus Hopkinson have both broken into the top-20, currently occupying positions 18th and 20th respectively.
These two players are having good seasons and progressing up the rankings very nicely.
Congratulations also go to Dave Freer and Steve Morley who have broken into this elite group of players. They currently occupy positions 28th and 30th respectively in the IoMSRA rankings.
