Manx Mountain Bike (MTB) Enduro riders’ flagship event of the year, the PokerStars two-day, takes place this weekend.

There have been one or two alterations to the original running order to avoid a clash with the Manx Two-Day motorcycle trial in the King’s Forest area, Greeba.

Signing on will be from 10am at St John’s Football Club, Mullen-e-Cloie on Saturday for a staggered start from 11 o’clock.

The first riders are now estimated at stages as follows: Stage 1 - King’s Forest 11.45am; stage 2 - Arrasey 12.30pm; stage 3 - Arrasey 1pm; stage 4 - Kerrowdhoo 1.35; stage 5 - Slieau Whallian 2.20.

Sunday - sign on from 9am, first riders away at 10 o’clock. Estimated times of first riders at stages as follows: stage 6 - Slieau Whallian 10.30am; stage 7 - King’s Forest 11.15; stage 8 - Arrasey midday; stage 9 - Kerrowdhoo 12.35pm; stage 10 - Slieau Whallian 1.20.

The last stage both days will end in the field at the bottom of Slieau Whallian Plantation on the Patrick Road, with a spectacular jump into the finishing area.

Riders and supporters are asked to please park considerately for sign on and when spectating around the stages. Do not block access roads or private properties.

Also, keep off grass verges etc when parking and do not light barbecues or fires given the current dry conditions and the risk to local areas and wildlife.
