Entries close at a reduced rate next week for October’s Chris Kelly Rally.

Taking place on October 2-3, the event covers 93 stage miles for an entry fee of £825.

However, this entry fee offer only runs until Monday (September 14), at which point the entry fee increases to £999.

Manx Auto Sport’s second closed-road stage rally of the year will start from the TT Grandstand at 6pm on Friday and finish from around 4pm on Saturday.

Friday evening will feature a loop of three stages, including the town centre stage in Port Erin, a new version of Poyllvaaish and a Corlea stage, which takes in some of the route used on the Manx National Rally in May.

There will then be service at Round Table before the loop is run twice more in the dark, with all cars starting the stages at 30-second intervals.

Saturday's action will be based from the TT Grandstand in Douglas, with the opening stage running up from the Baldwins over Injebreck and down through Druidale.

Next comes a stage called Ballavoddan before the famous Tholt-e-Will stage running uphill. These three stages will each be run three times at 30-second starts before the rally finishes back at the Grandstand.

On behalf of Manx Autosport, Mark Ellison said: ‘We have an amazing route with a late start on Friday and an early finish on Saturday.

‘We’ve had a great early response from competitors, both local crews and those travelling to the island but we have space for more. We're using some fabulous roads and it should be a great event for anybody looking for really good value closed-road rallying.’
