Dean Harrison secured a record six wins in one meeting when sealing his third Southern 100 solo championship title on Thursday.

The 30-year-old from Bradford continued a stellar season on the Silicone Engineering Kawasakis, running through the full card of 600 and 1000cc races unbeaten, leading each race virtually throughout.

Following on from his Senior TT victory five weeks earlier, Harrison made the rest appear second-best at Billown.

Having scored an opening double in the first evening of racing on Wednesday, Harrison scored four more victories on Thursday.

Dominic Herbertson won both of the 650/250 twin solo races, while the sidecar championship honours went to Pete Founds and Jevan Walmsley on the Rowtec Suzuki, holding off a strong challenge from John Holden and Lee Cain in the closing stages of the final race of the meeting.

Defending champions Tim Reeves and Mark Wilkes won two of the support races, but retired from the final when holding onto third place.
