There are three matches this Saturday in the end-of-season domestic competitions but the ones to watch out for are in the Manx Bowl.

A place in the final is still up for grabs in that competition and chasing it are Vagabonds B and Emerging Nomads.

The two meet this Saturday at Poulsom Park and its Vagas who are in the driving seat.

They need a draw or better to seal their place, while Nomads must win to keep their hopes alive and leave it all till the final fixtures.

Vagas beat Castletown and Emerging Nomads to secure their second place and probably start as favourites.

John Cannan has some talented youngsters coming through the ranks at Ballafletcher but has struggled at times to get out a consistent side given first-team call-ups.

It’s been a similar saga for Nomads’ skipper Dion Meechan too and both will be hoping for good squads and a close game.

In Saturday’s other Bowl game, Western Vikings play Castletown at QEII.

Vikings have already qualified for the final regardless of the result and have a shot at the Manx Plate too which could be a pretty good haul for Ed Alderson and his men.

Town have struggled again this season but when they get a full side out they are stringing together some good stuff and would love to have a slightly bigger squad to start building some results.

Finally in the Shimmin Wilson Manx Trophy we have a dress rehearsal for the final at Poulsom Park where Douglas Celts visit Southern Nomads.

Douglas have beaten Nomads three times already this season and will be favourites to make it four. Nomads, however, are smarting from the most recent defeat and will want to send out a message ahead of this and the Manx Cup finals.
