There are a further three games in rugby’s Ravenscroft Manx Shield this Saturday afternoon.

Ramsey Blues take on the Eastern Barbarians at the Mooragh, Castletown host Nomads Whites at Poulsom Park while Western Vikings face Nomads Greens at QEII.

All games kick off at 2.15pm.

Ramsey Blues picked up a bonus point at Nomads last week and should fare well at home, but the Barbarians side is something of an unknown quantity.

They ran 60 past Castletown last weekend, but it’s really too early to tell how strong the team may be this week.

At Poulsom Park, Town will be hoping to pick up some points against the Whites who are making their first appearance of the campaign.

Town did manage to breach the Barbarian defence last week and may find the going a little easier this time round.

Finally, Western Vikings have another toughie this week after a trip to Ramsey last Saturday.

The westerners were missing a couple of regulars in Ed Creasey and Jack Goodwin, with the latter being out for the season with a back injury.

Josh Hockney carried strongly though last week and Olly Bowles looked lively enough at 10 too, so all is not lost and a slightly smaller pitch at QEII may just suit them this week.
