The three Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield games scheduled for the weekend plus Douglas, Vagabonds and Ramsey’s English league fixtures have been postponed.

The domestic action was due to get under way on Friday evening with Ramsey B hosting Castletown under the floodlights of Mooragh Park.

However, that game along with Saturday’s two Shield games between Douglas Celts and Western Vikings and Vagabonds B and Southern Nomads have now been called off because of frozen pitches.

A combination of frozen pitches and travel problems for the opposition meant that Douglas’ trip to Manchester and Vagabonds and Ramsey’s home games with Wigan and Garstang are now also off.
