Douglas Celts beat Vagabonds’ firsts 26-7 in the Manx Cup at Port-e-Chee on Saturday to underline the strength in depth at Port-e-Chee.
Mark McGee ran in two for the Celts with other tries coming from Conor McCaughan and Rob Todd.
Shaun Wyllie kicked three conversions.
Paul Howard ran in Vagas’ try with Cam Findlay adding the conversion.
In the day’s other Cup game Ramsey beat Southern Nomads 27-0 at King William’s College.
Ben Harding’s first-half try and a conversion from Scott Kneale was all that separated the teams after 40 minutes. In the second half though Ramsey pushed clear with tries from Jarred Callister, Dan Bonwick and Mark Oldfield a conversion from Kneale plus a penalty from Fintan Cummins.
